Go to Quiche


This is my go to recipe for a quick, healthy and tasty lunch which the whole family loves. You can throw in whatever you like really and it usually depends on what I have in the fridge at the time. We love to take this boating and on family picnics.


  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1½ cups milk (I usually use 1 cup cream and ½ cup milk)

  • 4 eggs

  • ½ cup self-raising flour

  • 1 ½ cups of grated cheese (I usually use tasty)

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • mushrooms, ham or bacon, tomato, sliced

  • parsley, chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 200oC.

  2. Beat eggs and milk together.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  3. Pour into greased flan or pie dish.  You can add sliced tomato to the top of mixture or another option tinned asparagus.

  4. Bake for 30 -35 minutes.
